Yesterday, I forgot to bring my homework to school. My teacher asked, “Where is your paper?” I looked in my bag, but it wasn’t there. I felt embarrassed. I said, “I’m sorry, I forgot it at home.” The teacher said, “Please bring it tomorrow.” I nodded and said, “I will.” During lunch, I told my friend, “I worked hard, but I left it on the table.” She said, “That happens. Just don’t forget again.” After school, I put the homework in my bag right away. I learned my lesson. Next time, I’ll double-check before I leave home.
