Today was hot and sunny, so I decided to make lemonade all by myself!
I rolled the lemons on the counter, then squeezed them hard—juice squirted everywhere, even on my nose!
I added water, a big spoonful of sugar, and stirred it all until it sparkled in the pitcher.
I tasted it and puckered up—it was super sour!
So I added a little more sugar and a few ice cubes, then tried again… perfect!
I poured a glass for Mom, and she said, “Mmm, just right!” with a big smile.
We sat on the porch, sipping and laughing as the breeze blew gently.
It felt amazing to make something so sweet on my own and share it with someone I love.
