I open my crayon box, ready to draw a picture.
But oh no—some of my crayons are broken!
The red one is in two pieces, and the blue is tiny.
I feel a little sad and hold them in my hand.
Then my teacher says, “Broken crayons still color!”
I smile and try the red—it still works just fine.
I draw a big heart and color it in.
Even the little blue crayon makes a bright sky.
My picture turns out beautiful and full of color.
Even broken crayons can make something amazing!
