This afternoon, I walked into my room and found my little sister wobbling around in my big, sparkly shoes.
She had stuffed tissues in the toes to make them fit and was twirling like a ballerina in front of the mirror.
“Look, I’m you!” she said with a giggle, nearly tipping over as she tried to strike a pose.
At first, I felt a little mad—those were my favorite shoes!
But then she gave me the biggest smile and said, “I just wanted to feel fancy like you.”
My heart melted, and I helped her walk without falling, both of us laughing the whole time.
We ended up playing dress-up together, trying on hats, scarves, and silly sunglasses.
It turns out sharing shoes was the start of the best sister day ever.
