I saw a bird sitting in a tree.
It was small and blue with a yellow beak.
The bird sang a happy song in the morning light.
I stood still and listened quietly.
The wind moved the leaves, but the bird stayed.
It looked at me and flapped its wings.
Then it flew to another branch high up.
I waved and said, “Sing again tomorrow!”
The bird chirped once and flew away.
I smiled and walked home with joy in my heart.
