My best friend lives in another city. We don’t see each other often, but we stay connected through text messages. Every morning, I wake up to a message from her. It might say, “Good morning! Don’t forget your umbrella,” or “Guess what I dreamed last night?”
We send texts all day—funny pictures, jokes, short updates. “I spilled coffee on my shirt!” she once wrote. “Again? That’s the third time this week!” I replied.
Texting helps us feel close, even when we’re far apart. Sometimes we even practice English together. She sends me new words she learns, and I try to use them in a sentence.
We also use voice messages. It’s great for practicing speaking and listening. We don’t correct each other much—we just enjoy trying. It makes learning feel natural and fun.
At night, before sleeping, we often send one last message. “Sleep well,” or “Good luck tomorrow.” It’s a small thing, but it means a lot.
Texting may seem simple, but for us, it’s a way to stay close, learn together, and share life—one message at a time.
