Penny the penguin woke up to a snowy morning and couldn’t wait to play on the icy hill.
She waddled to the top, flapped her little wings, and shouted, “Here I go!”
With a happy belly flop, she slid down the hill faster than a snowball in a race.
The cold wind tickled her feathers, and her beak opened wide with a cheerful laugh.
Other penguins watched in awe as she zipped past, making a trail of sparkle in the snow.
At the bottom, she landed in a soft puff of powder and spun in a circle giggling.
Her friends cheered, and soon they were all sliding, racing, and bumping into snowbanks.
Penny grinned proudly—she was the fastest slider on the ice, and the happiest too!
