Yesterday in class, my friend Amir gave a short presentation about his hometown. He was nervous at first, but he stood in front of the class with a big smile. He talked about the food, the weather, and the famous places. He showed us three photos and used simple English words.
“I’m from Isfahan,” he said. “It’s a beautiful city with old buildings and sweet desserts.” He told a short story about a family picnic in the park. Everyone listened quietly. At the end, we clapped for him. He looked surprised and happy.
After class, I said, “You did great!” Amir said, “I was so scared. But I practiced ten times at home.”
His presentation inspired me. I used to be afraid of speaking in front of others. But now I want to try. I realized that we don’t need perfect English—we just need to speak clearly and from the heart.
Next week, I’ll give a short talk about my favorite book. I’m already preparing. Watching Amir helped me believe that I can do it too.
