This morning, I sat next to a stranger on the bus. He smiled and said, “Good morning.” I said, “Good morning” back. We started talking about the weather. He said, “It’s hot today.” I said, “Yes, I hope it rains soon.” We laughed. Then he asked, “Where are you going?” I said, “To work. And you?” He said, “To visit my sister.” We talked for a few minutes. When he got off the bus, he said, “Have a nice day!” I smiled and said, “You too!” It felt good to talk to someone new. A simple hello can make the day better.
